The Board of Secondary Education, Orissa (abbreviated BSE) is a Board of Education for public and private schools, under the State Government of Orissa, India.

BSE (Board of Secondary Education),Orissa was amended as an Educational Board under State Govt. of Orissa.This board was formed under the Orissa Education Act, 1953. The board control & maintains all the necessary secondary education in the State of Orissa. Under this board various courses are equipped to students for different occupations & prepare the students for education to University's.[1]
BSE affiliates all State Govt.,Private schools and Colleges in the state of Orissa
The board conducts final examinations every spring for Higher Secondary Examination (HSE), High School Certificate Examinations (H.S.C.E.) and examinations of other courses prescribed by the Board for Class 12.
There are 5 Central Zonal office in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Balasore, Baripada, Berhampur & Sambalpur.With Revenue District under its jurisdiction include the offices situated at Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara,Dhenkanal ,Angul ,Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh ,Balasore ,Bhadrak ,Mayurbhanj ,Keonjhar ,Ganjam, Kandhamal Gajapati, Boudh, Koraput , Nowrangpur, Malkanagir, Rayagada, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Baragarh, Bolangir, Sonepur, Kalahandi and Nuapada.[2]
